Ramesh Raskar. He gave a nice talk at OMNIVIS 2011 with the video of the electrons and looking around the corners.

Srikumar Ramalingan. He organized the last OMNIVIS 2011 and working at Mitsubishi would be a nice way to show some industrial application of omnidirectional vision.

Amit Agrawal. Working on similar topics as Srikumar, both gave a tutorial on "Multi-View Geometry and Computational Photography using Non-Classical Cameras" at ECCV 2012. http://www.merl.com/people/?user=agrawal
Joao Barreto.Working on his project of RDFixer, could be a nice talk on applications.

Pascal Vasseur. He has worked a lot on omnidirectional images. Unfortunately I can't find his website. A recent paper of his http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10846-012-9752-z

OMNIVIS 2011 had 4 invited speakers. We can do some balance between research and commercial applications of omnidirectional vision. In case you agree we can start by inviting João and Srikumar for the commercial side.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think it is a good idea. We need to figure out the research speakers. I'll check the ICIP old conferences maybe we can find an speaker from that community.
DeleteLuis, I have been searching for paper by the image processing community, in conferences like ICIP but I haven't found anything. Today I search on the IEEE-TIP journal.
DeleteMay I?... The email address of Pascal Vasseur is pascal.vasseur@insa-rouen.fr.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for the organization!
Thank you for the information. By the way, are you related to the omnidirectional vision community?
DeleteYes, yes, I am...
